Jacob received his BFA in Professional Photography from The Brooks Institute in 2005. His passion for the art has taken him to far reaches of the globe, including India, Africa, and Mongolia. Whether photographing "everyday people," artists and musicians, or inanimate objects, Jacob prides himself on the ability to explore and connect with the subject in order to tell an intriguing visual story. He resonates with the idea of using the lens to create a world and then capturing real moments within that world.
When he's not taking pictures, Jacob enjoys making magic in the kitchen, working with soil, live music, laughter with freinds and family, waking up in tents, and traveling. He likes summer weather but winter clothes, hot yoga and cold beer, Mexican food, wool socks, Big Sur, outdoor movies, NPR...
Jacob currently lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and their two cats, Lady Bob and Richard Parker.
